There is a wave of mourning in the area due to the news of martyrdom of Agniveer Jawan of Basti in the terrorist attack in Bikaner Army Camp of Rajasthan.

The news of martyrdom of 22-year-old Agniveer Narendra Kumar Yadav, resident of Umri Ahara village under Munderwa Nagar Panchayat of Basti district, has sent a wave of mourning in the entire area. According to the family members, after the incident that happened while on duty on Saturday, the information of martyrdom was received on the younger brother’s mobile at around 8 pm. As soon as the news was received, there was chaos in the family and mourning in the entire village. Villagers are coming in large numbers to console the bereaved family.

Narendra Kumar Yadav was the son of poor farmer Ramraksha Yadav and was considered the biggest support of the family. Narendra, who was recruited in the Indian Army under the Agniveer Scheme in the year 2024, took up his first posting in Bikaner after completing six months of training.

The people of the village described Narendra as a hard-working, disciplined, simple-natured and friendly youth and said that he had taken a pledge to serve the country at an early age. There is deep mourning in the entire area due to the news of his martyrdom and every eye is moist.
