Newly married woman dies in Delhi, family alleges murder

The family rejected the possibility of suicide

Aakriti’s family members say that she was following her normal routine on the day of the incident and her behavior did not indicate any kind of mental stress or depression.

According to the family, Aakriti had gone to the office of her private company on Saturday. There he also had a small party with his colleagues. Family members say that if a person is working normally, spending time with colleagues and talking about future plans, then committing suicide after a few hours does not seem natural.

She was normal in her last conversation with her mother.

The family told that on the day of the incident, Aakriti had talked to her mother on the phone at around 6 pm. During the conversation, she mentioned the office party and told that she was returning home. Family members say that during the conversation his voice was normal and he did not indicate any kind of problem or stress. The family questions that if everything was normal, then what happened that he died just a few hours later.

Husband’s call and then police information

According to Aakriti’s uncle Mananjay Sutar, the family received a call from Aakriti’s husband at around 8 pm. He told that Aakriti is missing. Family members say that about 90 minutes later, information was received from the police that a dead body of a woman had been found in Palika Kunj area. Later he was identified as Aakriti Sutar. Due to these developments, the family has termed the entire matter as suspicious and demanded a fair investigation.

Only two and a half months had passed since the marriage

According to police, Aakriti was a resident of Pushp Vihar area of ​​South Delhi and was working as a sales executive in a private company based in Chhatarpur. She was married to Aristotle Sikka on 24 April this year. Only about two and a half months had passed since the marriage. According to the family, this marriage took place on the basis of both love and family consent. Family members say that from the initial days of marriage, Aakriti started being harassed for dowry.

Dowry harassment and assault allegations

Aakriti’s family has alleged that after marriage, she was continuously harassed for dowry by her husband and in-laws. She claims that her husband used to beat her many times.
