PM Modi gets Indonesia’s biggest honour, decision taken on BrahMos missile
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Indonesia and today is the second day of his tour. Meanwhile, Indonesia has honored PM Modi with its highest honour. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has announced this. On this occasion, PM Modi has expressed his gratitude to the President, Government and people of Indonesia.
PM Modi said that this honor is not only his, but the honor of 140 crore Indians. PM Modi said, ‘In the last few years, relations between India and Indonesia have touched new heights. Both the countries are moving forward together in development, security, technology and many other important issues. PM Modi expressed confidence that a new chapter in the relations between the two countries will begin from today.

UPI will run in Indonesia
PM Modi said that it is very important to strengthen the supply chain in the age of technology. India and Indonesia have signed an important agreement on strengthening the supply chain of critical minerals and steel sector. Along with this, Modi said, ‘Companies of both the countries will form new partnerships in the field of stainless steel and rare earth magnets. India’s UPI will soon be connected to Indonesia’s payment system. This will make it easier to do business and travel between the two countries.
PM Modi will visit Prambanan temple
PM Modi is on a tour of Indonesia from 6 to 8 July. During this time he will visit Prambanan, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia. Built in the 9th century, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Despite being a country with the world’s largest Muslim population, Indonesia’s culture has a deep imprint of Hindu-Buddhist civilization. Ramlila takes place here and Lord Ganesha’s picture is also printed on the country’s currency.
Referring to visiting this temple, PM Modi said that he will visit Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta with President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday. This temple, which is more than a thousand years old, is a symbol of the shared cultural heritage of India and Indonesia. Let us tell you that PM Modi has visited Indonesia thrice so far. However, he will visit Prambanan Temple for the first time.

What agreement was reached between the two countries?
During this visit of PM Modi, many important agreements were signed between the two countries. India will help in developing Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) for Indonesia. Apart from this, after the demonstration of Indian ‘Astra’ air-to-air missile in Operation Sindoor, Indonesia has decided to purchase it. Apart from this, India will also provide units of BrahMos missile to Indonesia.
To strengthen the supply chain of critical minerals, India will invest in the manufacturing of steel, nickel and rare earth magnets in Indonesia. Along with this, India and Indonesia will jointly develop Sabang port. This port is located on the Strait of Malacca and is about 100 miles from India’s Great Nicobar Port Project. Strategically, these agreements are considered very important for India.
