Bomb blast at student rally near Dhaka, 3 people protesting against Sheikh Hasina injured

Dhaka. A bomb blast took place at a rally of the newly formed National Citizen Party in Savar, near Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka, injuring three people. This rally was being organized by the students of Bangladesh in protest against the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. NCP said in its statement that terrorists blasted a bomb during the NCP rally in Savar. The blast occurred around 9:45 pm on Monday night. The party has described it as “a well-planned attack by terrorists” to suppress the voice of students.

Explosion occurred on the first day of ‘July March’

Let us tell you that the bomb blast in Savar was carried out on the first day of ‘July March’, on a march organized to demand implementation of referendum, creation of jobs, solution of power crisis, control of prices of goods and security of the border. The nationwide march was planned to mark the second anniversary of student protests against Sheikh Hasina in July. Under this, NCP had already announced this march across the country.

Security arrangements are tight, investigation continues

Local police and security agencies reached the spot immediately after the incident. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. At present, the police is busy searching for the cause of the blast and the suspects behind it, although no one has been arrested so far.
