Bihar: Woman exploited in X-Ray room of hospital, stir created after obscene video surfaced
Patna: There has been a stir after an alleged video surfaced from Vaishali district of Bihar. It is being claimed that a hospital worker misbehaved with a woman in the X-ray room of Rajapakar Community Health Centre. Now the video of this incident is spreading rapidly on social media. However, at present no information has been revealed by the Health Department regarding this incident and investigation is going on in the matter. Let us know what is the whole matter.
What is the truth of the viral video?
According to local information, a woman had reached Rajapakar CHC to get her mother-in-law’s X-ray done. It is alleged that money was asked from her in exchange for X-ray, after which the woman talked about financial constraints. After this, allegedly taking advantage of her helplessness, inappropriate behavior was done to her in the X-ray room. A video of this incident is now viral on social media.
After the video surfaced, a lot of discussion has intensified in the area. People are also raising questions on the arrangements and monitoring of the hospital. Some people say that if there were already complaints of illegal recovery or irregularities then why was action not taken in time.
Investigation team formed
Taking the matter seriously, the Civil Surgeon of Vaishali said that it is not yet clear when the video is from, who are the people in it and whether the incident really happened at Rajapakar CHC or not. Meanwhile, to investigate all the points, the department has formed a two-member investigation team and sent them to the hospital, where the team will check the authenticity, place and time of the video. The Civil Surgeon said that further action will be decided only after the report comes. If the allegations are proved true then strict legal action will be taken against the person responsible as per rules.
Questions raised on monitoring of hospitals
After this incident, questions are being raised regarding the security and surveillance system in government hospitals. People are expressing concern about the presence of CCTV and staff in sensitive places like X-ray rooms. The administration has appealed to the people not to reach any conclusion and spread rumors until the investigation is completed.
The department says that the safety of patients and their families is the first priority. At present the investigation team is examining documents, statements of employees and CCTV footage in the hospital. Only after the report comes, it will be decided what is the truth behind the viral video and what action will be taken against the culprits.
