By-election is to be held in Bankipur Assembly of Bihar on July 30, but before that this seat has become embroiled in controversy for BJP. Just a day after filing nomination from here, BJP candidate Abhishek Kumar ‘Bunty’ withdrew his candidature. As soon as Bunty withdrew his candidature, various kinds of discussions started floating in the political circles. In this connection, the name of Abhishek Bunty’s family has come up in the famous ‘fodder scam’ of Bihar.
In such a situation, there is talk that BJP was afraid of negative information spreading among the people after his name surfaced in the fodder scam, hence Abhishek Bunty’s nomination has been withdrawn and Neeraj Kumar Sinha has been made its candidate. Let us tell you that BJP National President Nitin Naveen himself has been MLA from this seat five times.

Abhishek Bunty wrote a letter
After withdrawing the nomination, Abhishek Bunty said in a letter to Bihar BJP President, ‘I express my gratitude to the central and state leadership for making me the NDA candidate in the Bankipur assembly by-election. I would like to humbly request you that I am unable to contest the assembly by-election due to family reasons. However, he said that he will continue to work for BJP as a worker.
What is the real reason for withdrawal of nomination?
News agency PTI quoted a BJP leader on condition of anonymity as saying that a member of Abhishek Kumar Bunty’s family was convicted in the fodder scam. BJP was afraid that if Jan Suraj leader Prashant Kishor could raise this issue in the elections. In fact, earlier Kishore had alleged that ‘BJP itself admits that it is fielding corrupt people in the election field.’

Another thing that is coming to light in this incident is that the names of Abhishek Bunty’s father and mother had also come to light in a case related to fodder scam. The BJP top leadership was not aware of this, but after the truth came to light, the candidate in Bankipur was changed.

Regarding this, Abhishek Bunty’s father Ravindra Prasad has said that ‘the son is suffering the punishment for the sins of his parents. There was only a case of Rs 11 lakh in which he was punished.
