Lawrence Bishnoi gang demanding extortion of Rs 1 crore busted in Delhi, Rohini police arrested 3 gangsters

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Members Arrested: Exposing a large network of extortion in the capital Delhi, Rohini District Police has arrested three accused associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to the police, the arrested accused were conspiring to extort money by doing recce of businessmen on the instructions of notorious gangster Anil Pandit, who was sitting abroad. Three pistols, 26 live cartridges and several mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the accused.

Extortion started from Rs 1 crore, later asked for Rs 5 crore

According to the police, on March 6, 2026, a call was made to a mobile shop owner in Delhi and an extortion money of Rs 1 crore was demanded. Threats of death were given if the money was not paid. After this, a threatening call came again in June, in which the extortion amount was increased to Rs 5 crore, taking the name of Harry Boxer. The matter became more serious when on July 4, photographs and videos of the victim’s house were sent and a threat was made to kill him within 24 hours.

Police reached the accused through CCTV and technical investigation

After receiving the threat, Rohini police started investigation with the help of technical surveillance and CCTV footage. After investigating more than 50 suspicious vehicles, the police reached Shiv Govind. During interrogation it was revealed that the instructions for Reiki were given by Abhinav Singh. After this, Abhinav Singh and Azamgarh resident Vivek Yadav were also arrested.

The accused is also connected to the Nadir Shah murder case.

Police investigation revealed that Shiv Govind had already been an accused in a rape case. At the same time, Abhinav Singh is also an accused in the famous Nadir Shah murder case of the year 2024. According to the police, Abhinav used to provide logistics support to the gang, provide hotel accommodation and conduct recce of targets.

Many potential targets found from mobile phones

In the investigation of the mobile phones of the accused, data related to Reiki of a jeweler from Karol Bagh, a person from North-East Delhi and a possible target from Chandigarh has also been recovered. This indicates that the gang was preparing to target many big businessmen.

Used to talk to Anil Pandit sitting abroad every day

Rohini DCP Shashank Jaiswal said on this success that the three arrested accused were using modern technology. These three were in direct contact with gangster Anil Pandit sitting abroad every day through internet calling and social media apps. It was Anil Pandit who used to tell them how much amount to demand from which businessman and whom to scare.

According to the police, the network of this gang started from Anil Pandit and Harry Boxer sitting abroad and reached Abhinav Singh, after which Abhinav used to get the work completed by Shiv Govind and Vivek Yadav. Delhi Police is now continuously conducting raids in search of other helpers of the gang to root out this entire network.
