Datia by-election: Chandrashekhar Azad’s rally, Damodar Yadav candidate

In the last phase of the campaign for Datia Assembly by-election, Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) demonstrated a strong show of strength on Sunday (July 26). Party’s national president and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad appealed for support from voters by organizing a road show and public meeting in the city in support of party candidate Damodar Yadav. A large number of party workers and supporters participated in this program organized in the last phase of the election campaign.

The rally started at around 11:30 am from the Azad Samaj Party office on Unav Road. After this, Chandrashekhar Azad along with his supporters reached Qila Chowk through the main roads of the city. The workers raised slogans throughout the route and welcomed him at various places. A large number of youth, women workers and party supporters participated in the rally.

On reaching Qila Chowk, Chandrashekhar Azad paid tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by garlanding his statue. Addressing the public meeting organized after this, he said that Datia Assembly by-election is not just an election for one seat, but an opportunity for social justice, respect and strengthening the voice of the general public. He appealed to the people to send Azad Samaj Party candidate Damodar Yadav to the assembly after winning with huge votes.

Before voting in Datia Assembly by-election, all the major political parties are busy campaigning with full force. BJP, Congress and Azad Samaj Party are continuously trying to reach out to the voters by holding public meetings and road shows. In such a situation, Chandrashekhar Azad’s rally has further heated up the election atmosphere.
