Train Ticket Alert: People are very upset with the new rule of Indian Railways. You may also have to pay a hefty fine due to this rule. If you are using a ticket obtained from WhatsApp or its screenshot to travel in the general compartment of the train, be careful. The Railways has clarified that only the original digital ticket displayed on the ‘Rail One’ app will be considered valid at the time of verification. Any screenshot, photo, PDF copy or ticket sent via WhatsApp will not be considered valid and may result in penalty. What does the new rule say?
As per the new railway rules, the digital unreserved ticket must be available only on the mobile phone used for booking. Additionally, passengers must purchase this digital ticket before leaving the train station. Any booking made after train departure will be invalid. This clarification comes after a passenger was recently fined for showing a WhatsApp screenshot instead of an original digital ticket.
Showing a ticket on WhatsApp is not enough, it is necessary to know the rules of railways!

Public anger over new rules
This new railway order has sparked strong reactions from passengers on social media. People say that the rule will hit the elderly and those who cannot use the app themselves and can’t book tickets from their family members the most. One user wrote, ‘Make the rules so everyone can use them. Elderly people don’t know how to use Rail One or the UTS app. Do you think about them too? It is not the system that is the problem.
