Rahul Gandhi attacks the government on anti paper leak bill, raises questions regarding action against students

Tezzbuzz Desk- During the discussion on Anti Paper Leak Bill in Lok Sabha, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi made a scathing attack on the Modi government. He said that the student movement was neither violent nor motivated by hatred, but was an expression of the sentiments of the youth of the country. Rahul questioned who ordered the alleged barbaric action and firing of pellet guns on the protesting students.

Rahul Gandhi said that all political parties should respect the voice of the youth. He alleged that the government has failed to understand the feelings of the students. In his speech, he also targeted the government regarding the education system and said that RSS has influence on the Education Ministry and has taken over the education system.

During the speech, Rahul Gandhi made remarks while mentioning the word ‘blind devotee’, on which ruling party MPs raised strong objection and an uproar started in the House. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla advised Rahul Gandhi to stay focused on the bill and make serious allegations based on facts. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju also objected to his language, while Defense Minister Rajnath Singh appealed to maintain peace in the House. The proceedings of the House were disrupted amid continuous uproar.
