Knott’s husband reportedly showed the police some screenshots taken from his wife’s cellphone. This makes the matter clear. The teenager told investigators that Knott himself began flirting with her. Their relationship started through late night texting. She was initially reluctant to meet him but finally agreed. The boy claimed that his teacher asked him to drive to a secluded place. There, they indulged in kissing and physical intimacy inside his truck. Later the teacher asked her not to tell anyone. Said, in that case he will lose his job. Finally the whole thing came forward.
Accused Knott’s plea agreement was accepted on Friday. In addition to serving a maximum sentence of one year in county jail, Knott has been designated a sex offender for the next 10 years, the New York Post reported. Under the terms of the settlement, the former teacher will remain on the sex offender registry for 10 years.
