Chinnaswamy stampede: Ashok said on clean chit, who is responsible for the deaths?
R. Ashok said that 11 innocent youth had lost their lives in the stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, 2025, but till now no action has been taken against any responsible person. He said, “The tears and curses of the grieving parents will never forgive this murderous Congress government.”
He raised the question who is responsible for the death of those 11 people. If the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, senior officials and now even the police officers are innocent, then how did these people lose their lives? Calling it a “government-sponsored tragedy”, he demanded justice for the victims’ families.
R. Ashok alleged that the then Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had given permission to celebrate Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) IPL win at two different places on the same day. At the same time, he alleged that the then Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar (who is currently the Chief Minister) was busy getting photographed with the RCB flag even during the incident.
He also claimed that despite warnings from the police, the then Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), Satyawati, insisted on organizing the program in front of Vidhana Soudha. At the same time, the then Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh was monitoring the entire administrative system.
Let us tell you that Vidhan Soudha is the grand headquarters of the state’s bicameral legislature (Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council) located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
R. Ashok said, “Today there is no fault of Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar is innocent, the Chief Secretary is innocent, the DPAR Secretary is innocent and now the police officers have also got a clean chit. Then who is responsible for the death of those 11 innocent people? Did they die on their own?”
He said that he had also raised this issue in the Assembly and had already said that the aim of every inquiry committee constituted by the government is to suppress the case and not to provide justice to the victims’ families. The Congress government does not intend to take action against the culprits.
R. Ashoka warned that power does not last forever. The public is watching everything. People have not forgotten this incident and when the time comes, the public will give a befitting reply to this murderous Congress government.
The Karnataka government on Tuesday arrested senior IPS officer B. Clean chit was given to Dayanand, Vikas Kumar Vikas and Shekhar H. Tekkannavar. With this, the ongoing departmental action against him under All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969 was terminated.
Separate orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Services-4) said the competent authority, after considering the response of the officers and the opinion of the administrative department, has decided to discontinue the disciplinary action initiated under AIS Rule 8(4).
