Erling Haaland accepts Tom Holland’s dinner invitation, ‘just name place’

Erling Haaland has accepted Tom Holland’s dinner invitation after revealing he initially ignored the actor’s message because he did not know who he was.

Speaking on the Norwegian interview show A The teamthe Manchester City striker admitted he overlooked Holland’s direct message after assuming it had come from a stranger.

“Yes, of course. This is a bit embarrassing, to be completely honest. We were in Monaco at the Formula 1, and then I got a message. I don’t watch movies much, so I have no idea who people are,” Haaland said.

“There was one asking if we could go out for dinner, but I’d never seen him, so I didn’t bother to answer. I didn’t want to answer an unknown person.”

After learning the message had come from the Spider-Man star, Haaland laughed off the misunderstanding.

“I think I’ll have to send him a message now. I’d completely forgotten about it,” he added.

The story quickly gained traction on social media and was later mentioned by Jimmy Fallon during The Tonight Showwhere he referred to a viral Culture Crave post about Holland being left on read.

Haaland has since publicly accepted the invitation by responding to The Tonight Show’s Instagram post.

“Dinner invitation accepted @tomholland2013. A little late. Just name the place!” he wrote.
