This hearing on bail petitions will be held in the court of Special CBI Judge Ajay Gupta, on which the eyes of the entire country are fixed. 13 accused including Biwal brothers are in judicial custody till July 24. Let us tell you that Dinesh Biwal and Vikas Biwal are included in the list of 13 high-profile accused, who have been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on serious charges of leaking NEET UG question paper and selling it before the scheduled date of the examination. In the earlier hearing, Rouse Avenue Court had extended the judicial custody of all the 13 accused till July 24, 2026, in view of the seriousness of the case. The Central Investigation Agency has claimed before the court that all these accused are part of a huge question paper leak network and racket spread across the country. CBI’s allegation: According to the agency, the accused were active in different states (like Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra) and leaked the paper even before the examination. Role of Manisha Waghmare: Investigation has also revealed that accused Manisha Waghmare had acted as a strong link (middleman) between the students/parents who wanted to buy the leaked question papers for huge amount and Dhananjay Lokhande, the main facilitator of the racket. Court’s historic decision: ‘You cannot deprive your right to education if you are an accused’ Earlier this month, the Rouse Avenue Court had given a very humane and historic decision in this case. The court had given special permission to another jailed accused Yash Yadav to appear in the NEET UG 2026 re-exam while being in judicial custody. Important comment of the court: During the hearing, the court had said in clear words, "No person can be deprived of the Right to Education merely because he is accused in a case, especially until the legal trial is completed and the conviction is proved." After this, when the admit card was issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and no objection was raised, Yash Yadav was taken to the examination center under tight police escort and the paper was given. The country’s politics is heated over NEET paper leak. The country’s political temperature is also on sky high due to this entire leak scandal. Opposition parties are continuously attacking the central government on this issue. Protests are being held from Parliament to the streets and the opposition is continuously demanding the resignation of the country’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In such a situation, today everyone’s eyes are on what is the stand of the court on the bail petition of Dinesh and Vikas Biwal.
