The wait for the result of UP Police Constable Recruitment is expected to end soon. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released a new notice related to Document Verification and Physical Efficiency Test (DV/PST) for recruitment to the posts of Constable, Jail Warder and other posts.
Education News: An important update has come out for the candidates preparing for recruitment to various posts including constable in Uttar Pradesh Police. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has issued a new notice regarding the next stage of the recruitment process i.e. Document Verification (DV) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
According to the new schedule of the board, the verification of documents and physical standard test of the shortlisted candidates after the result of the recruitment test is to be conducted from August 17, 2026. There is a plan to conduct this process in the police lines of 75 districts of the state. However, candidates should note that the official date of UP Police Constable Result 2026 has not been announced yet. In such a situation, there are talks of releasing the results in the last week of July or the first week of August, but at the moment this should be considered only as a possible deadline.
DV/PST will start from 17th August
According to the notice issued by UPPRPB, in the recruitment process of constable, jail warder and other related posts, after the written examination, the selected candidates will be called for DV/PST. It has been informed that this process for shortlisted candidates will start from 17th August 2026. Candidates will get information about the respective date and venue through the official instructions and admit card issued by the board. During DV/PST, educational and other necessary documents of the candidates will be scrutinized along with prescribed physical standards.
The process will be done in police lines of 75 districts
As per the notice of UPPRPB, DV/PST will be conducted in the police lines of all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. For this, testing teams and committees will be formed in the respective districts. It will be the responsibility of these committees to complete the process of document verification and physical standard testing of the candidates as per the prescribed rules.
Which officers will be in the committee?
As per the schedule of the board, the committee constituted for the DV/PST process will include senior officials from various departments. The committee will normally consist of the following officers:
- Deputy Collector – Chairman
- Deputy Superintendent of Police nominated by the Police Commissioner/Senior Superintendent of Police/Superintendent of Police of the concerned district or commissionerate – Member
- District School Inspector, Basic Education Officer or Gazetted Officer of the Education Department nominated by the District Magistrate – Member
- Medical Officer nominated by the Chief Medical Officer or District Magistrate – Member
Other officers can also be included in the committee as per requirement. Its objective is to complete the process of DV/PST transparently and as per the prescribed rules.
When will UP Police Constable Result 2026 come?
After the date of DV/PST is out, now the candidates have their eyes on UP Police Constable Result 2026. There is a discussion among the candidates that the recruitment board may release the result of the written examination in the last week of July or the first week of August. However, it is important to clarify that UPPRPB has not yet announced any official date for releasing the result. Therefore candidates should only rely on the official website and official notifications of the board.
After the release of the result, candidates will be able to check the result through their roll number and other required information. Only the candidates successful in the result will be called for the next stage of DV/PST.
Candidates should start preparation from now
After the date of DV/PST comes out, candidates should speed up their physical preparation. Candidates are advised to read the physical standards and test conditions prescribed in the recruitment notification carefully and make their preparation accordingly. Along with this, it will be useful to keep all the necessary documents ready in advance. Along with the original copies of educational certificates, identity cards, certificates related to reservation and other necessary documents, copies in the prescribed format should also be kept ready.
DV/PST date is definitely an important update for the candidates associated with UP Police Constable Recruitment 2026. However, the official announcement of the result is yet to happen. Therefore candidates should wait for the official notification for the result.
