New Delhi, July 4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared an inspiring Sanskrit proverb on the social media platform X on Tuesday, conveying the message of knowledge, practice, and persistent effort to the youth. The Prime Minister said that continuous hard work and practice enhance a person’s talent, and today, India’s youth are bringing glory to the country worldwide through these qualities.
Described the youth’s success as the result of continuous practice.
Prime Minister Modi wrote in his message, “Constant effort and practice enhance our talent. Today, our youth are bringing glory to the country worldwide by imbibing these qualities.”
He also shared a famous verse from the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita:
“Na hi gyanen sadrisham pavitramih vidyate.
Tatsvayam yogasansidhh kaleenaatmani vindati.
”
Learn the meaning of the verse
This verse means that there is no other means in this world that purifies like knowledge. A person who purifies their conscience through karma yoga and spiritual practice experiences supreme knowledge within themselves when the time is right.
Message of patience and action given on Monday
A day earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Modi shared a Sanskrit proverb, conveying the message of maintaining patience in adverse circumstances. He wrote:
“Ignoring the dangers of abandoning oneself, one should not give up patience even when one’s ship is wrecked and one should continue to strive for survival.”
This means that one should not lose patience even when fate is unfavorable. Just as a skilled sailor does not lose courage even when his ship is wrecked in the middle of the ocean and continues to strive for survival, similarly, humans should continue to work in difficult times.
An inspiring message was also shared on Guru Purnima.
Prime Minister Modi had previously shared a Sanskrit proverb on Guru Purnima on July 29th, wishing the countrymen. He wrote that a guru not only imparts knowledge but also instills positive energy, good thoughts, and values in his disciples.
He also shared this verse:
“Prerakah soochashchaiva vachko darshakasttha.
Shikshakah bodhakaschchaiva shadete guravah smritaah.
This means that the six forms of a guru are those who inspire, guide, impart knowledge, make one understand the truth, and pave the way for self-development.
