Aamir Khan has finally expressed his grief over the loss of another legendary star Pradeep Rawat.
Earlier today, the Bollywood industry woke up to the saddening news of Pradeep’s demise at the age of 74. The actor was fighting a battle with blood cancer, which became the reason of his death.
Aamir collaborated with Pradeep in Ghajini (2008), where the veteran played villain alongside fomer’s Sanjay Singhania. They also starred together in classic film Lagaan.
During an interview with Variety India, the 3 Idiots actor went all emotional when he discussed the death of Rawat. According to him, the Lagaan actor was one of the most iconic villains in showbiz.
Aamir said in a statement, “He was extremely dedicated and fearless as an actor. Pradeepji played the title role in Ghajini. I think this was one of the most striking screen villains in our cinema.”
As per Khan, Ghajini wouldn’t have worked with Rawat. “I don’t think anyone could have played Sodhi with such swag. He was a versatile actor. It’s sad to hear of his passing”, said the Rang De Basanti actor.
Pradeep was an Indian actor prominently known for doing films in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages.
He made his first appearance in B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat and was introduced in Telugu cinema with film Sye. Meanwhile, he gave his Hindi film debut with Meri Jung in 1985.
