Watch: ‘Detained Me For What?’ Dhurandhar Actress Ayesha Khan Questions Mumbai Police After NEET Protest

Mumbai: Ayesha Khan, who acted in Dhurandhar and participated in Bigg Boss 17, has alleged that she was detained by the Mumbai Police after trying to support students protesting against the alleged NEET paper leak. The actress posted a series of videos on her Instagram Stories during which she questioned why she was taken in police custody despite apparently standing peacefully on the road.

In one of the videos, Ayesha looked visibly unsettled, claiming that she was not at all involved in the protest, saying that her “hands are literally shivering right now. I have been detained in the police van just for standing on the road peacefully.” She denied having taken part in the protest after she and her male friends and brother were detained by the police and she was left waiting.

In another video, the actress claimed that she was asking the police officers where they were being taken and the officers did not answer her questions.

According to Ayesha, she had gone to Mumbai’s Dadar area with her brother and friends to stand in support of NEET students and protest, and when the protest began they were detained by police after they were informed that protests were not allowed in the area. The male members of the group were then detained.

In another post on Instagram Story, the former reported: “Detained me for what? For standing in the road? Wasn’t even in the group of 5.”
