Government will give details of all the incidents that happened after NEET paper leak in the House: Kiren Rijiju!
Kiren Rijiju said, “Whatever the opposition wants to say, it can fully express its views during the discussion. If the discussion continues for a long time, every MP will get an opportunity to express his views and raise his issues. We cannot stop anyone. But if such conditions are put that the discussion cannot take place, then it means that you do not want discussion.”
He said that Parliament is a platform for discussion and the government never runs away from any issue. In a democracy, it is our responsibility to provide information about the work that the government does for the public. Therefore we cannot step back from the discussion. I urge the opposition parties not to adopt such a method which stops the debate. There should be a discussion so that the country can know what steps the government has taken so far and what will be done in the future in the interest of the youth.
The Union Minister also said that there is no bar on Congress, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav or any other opposition leader from raising any issue. Everyone has every right to express their views and the government is ready to answer on every issue.
Rijiju said that the government had informed the opposition leaders, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha from the very first day of the Parliament session that it was ready for discussion. However, he clarified that it is necessary to decide under what rules the discussion will be held, its date, duration, and procedure.
He said, “Such an important topic cannot be discussed just for the sake of formality. Parliament has its own system and rules. We want this serious issue to be discussed in detail.” The Union Minister said that the paper leak of NEET exam is a very serious issue related to the youth of the country and the entire country. Therefore, it is important that complete information about the steps taken by the government so far in this matter should reach the people of the country.
Appealing to the opposition, he said, “It would be better if all the parties start the discussion with a positive mindset. The decision under which rules the debate will take place, how long it will last and when it will take place can be taken together with the presiding officer presiding over the House.”
