Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has extended the last date of application for Probationary Officer (PO) and Specialist Officer (SO) Recruitment Examination 2026. Now interested candidates can apply online till 26 July 2026. The application process is ongoing on the official website of IBPS.
Recruitment will be done on 7,460 posts
Through this recruitment drive, a total of 7,460 posts will be recruited in various partnered public sector banks of the country. In this, 6,715 posts have been earmarked for Probationary Officer and 745 posts for Specialist Officer. Candidates who have not applied yet can fill their form before the last date.
Required qualifications for PO post
It is mandatory for the candidate applying for the post of Probationary Officer to have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates having equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government can also apply. Candidates must have the degree or mark sheet available at the time of application and must enter graduation marks in the online form.
Different eligibility for SO posts
Educational qualifications have been prescribed differently for different posts of Specialist Officer. In such a situation, candidates have been advised to check the eligibility and conditions of the concerned post in the official notification before applying.
