The attack targeted al-Udairi and Ali al-Salem air bases, destroying a US electronic warfare unit and causing casualties at military bases. Iran claimed that this action was taken in response to the US bombing and attacks on pilgrims.
Iran’s strict warning to Britain
Iran has warned Britain that if its military bases are used by the US against Iran, it will have to suffer the consequences. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has described Britain’s decisions as a violation of international law. especially RAF Fairford Referring to the American B-1 bomber that flew from Iran, Iran has termed Britain as a partner in these attacks.
Britain’s stance on security
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has confirmed that British military bases such as RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia will continue to be used for US defensive attacks. The British government said that they are ready 24 hours to protect their country and allies from any attack. In view of the security threats, the British Foreign Ministry has also recalled its embassy staff from Iran.
