Amidst red alert in Gujarat, IMD warns of rain in 24 states, Meghraja makes a big entry from Delhi-UP to Bihar

As the monsoon reactivates across the country, rainy conditions are prevailing in many states. Rain has been predicted from Delhi-NCR to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The Meteorological Department has warned of rain for a total of 24 states for tomorrow. Light to moderate rain is likely in some states. While heavy to very heavy rain has been predicted in Gujarat, East Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan-Goa. Following heavy rain in Gujarat, a red alert has also been issued for some areas.
Cloudy weather, possibility of light rain in Delhi-NCR
Delhi-NCR has been witnessing rainy conditions for the last few days. Although there is no heavy rain here, people have got relief from the heat due to cloudy weather and light rain. According to IMD, light rain or drizzle may occur along with cloudy weather throughout the day tomorrow. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 25 degrees Celsius. Generally cloudy weather is expected on July 25 as well.
Rainy weather in UP and Bihar as well
. Scattered rains have been forecast in both the eastern and western parts of Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, the rains in the state may continue in the coming days and rains may be seen in many areas till July 29. Heavy rains are also likely in Bihar. In addition, light to moderate rains have been forecast in some parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh.
Monsoon active again in Rajasthan, heavy rains in many departments
Monsoon has become active again in Rajasthan and rain activity is likely to continue in most parts of the state for the next four to five days. A warning of heavy to very heavy rains has been issued at some places in south and south-east Rajasthan. Ajmer, Kota, Jodhpur and Udaipur divisions may receive moderate to heavy rains till July 25. There is also a possibility of very heavy rain in some areas. Light to moderate rain is likely in some areas of Jaipur, Bharatpur and Bikaner divisions.

Many areas are waterlogged, roads are blocked and the water level of rivers has increased. IMD has warned of heavy rain in some areas of Gujarat for the next 24 hours. Red alert has been issued for areas including Panchmahal, Dahod and Mahisagar in central Gujarat. Heavy rain is also likely in many districts of South Gujarat in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in East Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region and Konkan and Goa. Heavy rainfall is likely in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Rajasthan, Andaman and Nicobar, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar and Gujarat. Moderate rainfall has been predicted for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe. Rain alert has also been issued in
Northeastern states
. Light to moderate rainfall is likely in East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, West Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Jharkhand. Apart from sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, rain alert has also been issued in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. With the monsoon remaining active, rain activity is likely to continue in many parts of the country in the coming days. People, especially in areas under red alert, have been appealed to avoid unnecessary travel and follow the official instructions of the administration.
