Samsung has launched its new premium foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip 8. This smartphone comes with a larger 4.1-inch FlexWindow, powerful Exynos 2600 processor, 50MP camera and new Galaxy AI features. The company has given the phone a thinner and stronger design than before, while many new AI based features have also been added. Its starting price in India has been kept at ₹ 1,24,999 and its sale will start from August 8. Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 weighs 180 grams and is 6.1mm thick when unfolded. It has a 6.9-inch Full HD+ 120Hz OLED folding display. At the same time, on the outside there is now a 4.1-inch FlexWindow cover display, which is bigger than before and provides a better user experience.

The phone comes with IP48 water and dust resistance. Besides, it has been given a new Armor Aluminum frame and improved hinge mechanism, which increases its strength.

Processor and Storage
Galaxy Z Flip 8 has been launched with Exynos 2600 processor in most of the countries including India, while Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset will be available in some select markets. The smartphone has 12GB RAM in all variants. Two options of 256GB and 512GB are available for storage.

Battery-charging and camera
Galaxy Z Flip 8 has a 4300mAh battery. It supports 25W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. For photography, the phone has a 50MP primary camera (OIS) and 12MP ultrawide camera. A 10MP front camera is available for selfie and video calling.

Samsung has also added new features like Camcorder Grip Mode and Horizontal Lock to improve video recording, which results in more stable video recording even while moving.

Android 17 and new Galaxy AI features
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 runs on One UI 9 based on Android 17. It has deep integration of Gemini Intelligence. The company has added Now Brief feature, which shows notifications, reminders and important updates on the cover screen. Apart from this, users can now control more than 40 apps with voice commands.

Keeping privacy in mind, Samsung has also provided AI Assistant Activity Dashboard, where users can easily manage AI’s background activity, automated actions and app permissions. A 6-month free trial of Google AI Pro will also be available with the phone, which includes 5TB cloud storage.
