Police have registered an FIR against six people including the Nagar Panchayat President in the case of suicide of contractor Piyush Singh in Anpara of Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. This action has been taken on the basis of the complaint of the deceased’s father Pradeep Singh. Police say that investigation into the matter has been started and further action will be taken based on the available evidence.

According to the information, 38-year-old Piyush Singh, resident of Mudiyar village of Saidpur police station area of ​​Ghazipur district, lived with his family in Anpara Colony. On Thursday morning, he allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself. After receiving information about the incident, his father reached Anpara and gave a written complaint to the police.

Allegations of not receiving payment and threatening

In the complaint, the father of the deceased alleged that Piyush Singh used to work as a small contractor in Nagar Panchayat related works and used to get various construction works done with his own resources. He alleges that the Nagar Panchayat President, his son, an employee and some contractors were continuously putting pressure on Piyush.

According to the complaint, Piyush had told the family before the incident that he was being repeatedly threatened. It is also alleged that his payment was stopped and he was told that payment would be made only after his death. The father of the deceased claims that Piyush was going through financial crisis due to non-payment of payment and was also mentally disturbed.

Allegations related to domestic dispute also included in the complaint

The father of the deceased also alleged in his complaint that two other people were issuing death threats to the entire family over a domestic dispute. He says that Piyush was under mental stress due to continuous threats and financial problems, due to which he took this step.

However, the allegations made in the complaint have not yet been independently verified. Police say that all aspects will be investigated impartially and only after investigation, further action will be taken on the basis of facts.

Police started investigation

Anpara police station in-charge Pranay Prasun Srivastava said that on the basis of the complaint of the deceased’s father, a case has been registered under relevant sections against six people including the Nagar Panchayat president, his son. The police is investigating all the facts, documents and evidence related to the case.

He said that after the completion of the investigation, further legal action will be taken based on whatever facts emerge. At present, the police is engaged in detailed investigation of the case by interrogating all the concerned parties.
