Big decision after paper leak controversy, 47 officers of NTA terminated, criminal action will be taken against many

NTA Termination: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken a big step towards improving and increasing transparency in the country’s examination system. According to Education Ministry sources, NTA has terminated the services of 47 officers. Apart from this, legal and criminal action will also be initiated against some officials.

According to reports, this action is part of a special drive to ensure comprehensive reforms and accountability in NTA. The ministry says that in the coming days many more important decisions related to improving the structure and functioning of the agency will be taken.

Preparation for changes in NTA

In recent times, NTA has been in constant controversy due to paper leaks and alleged examination related irregularities. It is in this background that the functioning of the agency has been reviewed and the reform process has been initiated.

According to the Education Ministry, this step is an important initiative towards the complete restructuring of NTA. Its objective is to make the examination system more transparent, reliable and accountable, so as to ensure fairness and credibility of examinations in future. At present, the identity of the removed officers and detailed official details of the proposed legal action against them have not been made public by the Education Ministry or NTA.

PM Modi took charge

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had issued a video message saying that those who play with the future of the youth will not be spared at any cost. He assured that the government is preparing a new legal framework to ensure strict action in cases of paper leaks and a bill related to this can be brought in the current session of Parliament.

On the other hand, students’ protest continues at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. However, government sources say that the government is not considering resignation at the moment and its focus is on improving the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the examination system.
