Since its launch five years ago, the ‘Trident 660’ has been Triumph’s most popular bike. Now Triumph has introduced the new 2026 range with significant updates to three of its popular 660 series bikes, along with a new larger model. We took the new fleet for a real test ride on the winding roads on the border of New South Wales and Queensland.
Triumph Trident 800: A powerful roadster
The biggest highlight of this new launch is the new Trident 800 bike. It is powered by a 798 cc inline three-cylinder engine that generates 113 hp of power and 84 Nm of torque. Equipped with adjustable Showa suspension, Michelin tires, three riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control and cruise control, this bike is a great option to bridge the gap between beginners and experienced riders.

Trident 660: Now mainly for beginners (LAMS)
Following the arrival of the Trident 800, the popular Trident 660 will now be available in a limited power version mainly aimed at beginner riders. The company has given it separate throttle bodies, a bigger airbox and a revised gearbox to eliminate the initial retarding pickup in the earlier model. This makes riding this bike in city traffic much easier and more enjoyable.
Daytona 660: The thrill of street sports
The Daytona 660 has received significant updates for 2026 to compete with the Yamaha R7 and Aprilia RS660. The 660 cc engine delivers 93 hp of power in the full-power version and delivers high-speed performance. The fully adjustable Showa Big Piston fork, standard quickshifter and Metzeler tires make this bike great for everyday use in the city as well as on the race track.
