America-Iran war continues for 13 days! America’s swift attack on Iran, retaliatory action worsened the situation in the Gulf

New Delhi: The tension between America and Iran is continuously deepening. After the breakdown of the ceasefire agreement, the series of attacks and counter-attacks between the two countries has intensified. Meanwhile, America once again attacked Iran’s military bases on Friday. According to the US military, this is the 13th consecutive night that military operations have been conducted against Iran.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that the US military launched a new round of attacks on Iranian military targets at around 6:45 pm Eastern US time on Friday evening. CENTCOM said these actions are aimed at holding Iran accountable and reducing the threat the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) poses to commercial vessels.

The US military says that the campaign will continue to weaken Iran’s maritime activities and its ability to pose a threat to regional security. However, the continuous attacks have further increased the tension in the entire region.

Attacks on American allies also

The impact of the increasing conflict between America and Iran is now visible on other countries as well. Iran and its allies are targeting targets belonging to America’s partner countries in the Gulf region. Information about missile and drone attacks related to Iran has come to light from Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait. There was also news of an attack on the Al-Abdali border post located between Kuwait and Iraq. These incidents have raised concerns about the security of important military and civilian infrastructure in the region.

News of attack near Bushehr nuclear plant also

According to Iranian media, the US military targeted military targets in the Bushehr area, located near the country’s only active commercial nuclear power reactor. Reports say that there have been several attacks in this area during the last few days. Iran has also informed about people killed and injured in American attacks. According to Iranian officials, two people were killed and 11 others were injured in a US missile attack on the Shalamcheh checkpoint near the Iraq border.

Iran’s counter-attack continues

Despite continuous American attacks, Iran has continued to use its missile and drone capabilities. Tehran has targeted US-affiliated military bases in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan. The Iranian military’s actions have also affected vital energy and water facilities. There have also been reports of attacks on water desalination plants and energy-related infrastructure in Kuwait. This has increased concerns about the security of civil infrastructure and energy supply in the region.

Danger also increased on sea routes

This conflict is also affecting sea routes. The Iran-backed Houthi group has claimed responsibility for the attacks on two Saudi Arabian oil tankers in the Red Sea. The group described it as part of a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia. After this incident, concern regarding the Strait of Hormuz has increased further. This sea route is considered very important for global oil supply. Any major disruption here can have an impact on energy markets around the world.

Strait of Hormuz becomes center of tension

America has issued a strong warning against attacks on commercial ships. On the other hand, Iran has also said that if its civilian facilities are targeted, it will retaliate against regional oil, gas and electricity related infrastructure. Iran’s Joint Military Command has warned that a strong response will be given if its infrastructure is attacked.

Iranian officials have also indicated that in such a situation, oil exports from the region may be affected. On Thursday, Iranian state media also reported an explosion near the Strait of Hormuz. According to the Revolutionary Guards, one of the three oil tankers caught fire. Iran has also claimed control over this area.
