Himachal Pradesh Accident:- A major accident has occurred in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul-Spiti district, where a large boulder fell onto a taxi. Reports indicate that 13 people have lost their lives. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Udaipur police station; A Tata Sumo vehicle was struck by a massive boulder that suddenly tumbled down from the hillside onto the BRO main road near Kadhunala-Rahauli. There were 15 people in the vehicle at the time; 13 died, while two sustained injuries. Both injured individuals have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
It is reported that a large section of the rock broke off and fell due to a landslide. According to available information, the two injured persons were successfully rescued, and police and rescue teams are currently searching to determine if any other passengers remain trapped.
Upon receiving news of the accident, the police, local administration, and rescue teams rushed to the scene. Relief and rescue operations are being conducted on a war footing. Police reports state that the accident was caused by falling rocks near Kahudu Nala. The Sumo vehicle (registration number HP 01 M 2210) was completely crushed; the driver has been identified as Bir Singh. A total of 13 fatalities have been reported in this incident.
Rescue teams have pulled two injured individuals from the debris; they have been sent to the hospital for treatment. Operations to clear the debris are currently proceeding rapidly. Lahaul-Spiti SP Shivani Mahla confirmed the incident, stating that full details regarding the number of passengers and casualties would only be available once the rescue operation is concluded.

According to reports, the Udaipur-Killar road had been closed a day earlier due to a landslide. Consequently, all the passengers in the taxi had been staying at Tindi. The vehicle set off towards Pangi after the road was restored on Friday, but near Kadu Nala, a large section of rock suddenly collapsed, and the taxi was caught in the slide.
