Big update amid Jantar Mantar movement, JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh’s meeting with CJP leaders lasted for 50 minutes.

New Delhi: After the important meeting held on Friday between the representatives of the Central Government and the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), the stir regarding issues related to students has intensified. CJP placed three big demands before the government, on two of which the government has shown a positive attitude. At the same time, the government has asked for time till Saturday afternoon to respond to the demand for resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. This meeting took place in VP Bhawan located at Constitution Club, Delhi.

Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh attended the meeting on behalf of the Central Government. Meanwhile, on behalf of Cockroach Janata Party, party’s chief spokesperson Saurav Das and national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka led the delegation. After the meeting, CJP leaders claimed that three important issues related to students and protesters were placed before the government.

CJP placed three major demands before the government

According to CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka, the party first demanded the government to take the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan or remove him from the cabinet. The party says that responsibility for the controversies related to the examination and the dissatisfaction created among the students should be fixed.

The second demand is related to providing financial help to the families of those students who committed suicide during NEET preparation. CJP has demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore to each such family. The third demand of the party is to withdraw the FIR and legal cases registered against the protesting students and other protesters. CJP says that the cases registered during the movement should be dropped.

Government agreed to two demands

After the meeting, Ashutosh Ranka said that the government has agreed in principle to the demand for compensation and withdrawal of FIR and other legal cases registered against the protesters. However, further information is awaited from the government regarding the process of implementing these demands and the final decision. Ranka said that the government has asked for time till Saturday afternoon on the demand of Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. The CJP leader expressed hope that the government will take a decision on this issue soon and his demand will be accepted.

Government also discussed examination reforms

Union Minister JP Nadda told after the meeting that talks took place between the government and CJP representatives for about two hours. He said that the delegation also put forward five suggestions to the government along with three main demands regarding the improvement in the examination system. According to JP Nadda, these issues will be discussed within the government and there will be a meeting again with the CJP delegation on Saturday afternoon. In this meeting, further information will be given to the representatives on the basis of internal discussion of the government.

Pictures of the meeting have also surfaced, in which both CJP representatives are seen handing over a letter to the Union Ministers. Now all eyes are on the next meeting to be held on Saturday, where the government can clarify its stand on other issues including the demand for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.
