Rahul Gandhi’s warning to Modi government – ‘Dharmendra Pradhan needs dismissal, not transfer’

New Delhi, 25 July. Ahead of the fourth round of talks to be held between the representatives of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and the government on Saturday amid the ongoing students’ agitation at Jantar Mantar, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi warned the Modi government and said that the students have three demands and these demands cannot be postponed under any circumstances. In this sequence, he said that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should not be transferred but dismissed.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi told the media at 10 Janpath that the first demand of the students is to remove Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from the post. The second demand is that those who lathi-charged the students should be punished. The third demand is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should apologize to the students. Rahul said that he himself has not made these demands but students from across the country are making these demands.

Rahul Gandhi said that news is being received that the government is considering removing Dharmendra Pradhan from the Education Ministry and sending him to some other ministry. He completely rejected it and said that it would not be acceptable to anyone. According to him, Dharmendra Pradhan has become the face of corruption and failure, which has harmed the future of the students. Therefore, instead of changing the ministry, he should be completely removed from the post.

Referring to an injured student, the Congress MP said that she has suffered serious injuries. He also told that a day earlier he had met a student who was hit by a shrapnel in his eye and may never be able to see again. He said thousands of students were beaten with sticks, many were beheaded and their bodies were hit with shrapnel. Those who carried out this action and those who organized it must all be held accountable and punished.

Rahul Gandhi also targeted Prime Minister Modi and said that he is talking about suggestions by making videos whereas the students’ demand is not for suggestions but for direct action. He said the Prime Minister should admit that students were beaten, beaten and insulted and he should apologize for it.
