Rahul Gandhi offered fitness tips for today’s youth. He said that rigorous workouts aren’t necessary to stay fit. He believes it’s more important to make fitness a part of everyday life. Rahul Gandhi explained that he doesn’t consider exercise to be a leisure activity, but rather a part of his daily routine.
Various physical activities, such as martial arts, swimming, running, and yoga, are part of his fitness routine. Rahul Gandhi says that the most important element in fitness is regularity. He believes that consistent exercise increases its benefits over time.
He also said that fitness cannot be achieved through exercise alone. If you have a poor diet, excessive alcohol consumption, or a habit of constantly snacking, exercise alone cannot reverse the effects. According to him, fitness requires a balanced combination of exercise, diet, and lifestyle.
What did Rahul Gandhi say on fitness?
For Rahul Gandhi, the most important part of staying fit isn’t relying on one specific type of exercise. He believes it’s more important to make physical activity a regular habit. “The most important thing about fitness isn’t actually the routine you follow,” Rahul Gandhi said. “What’s important about fitness is that you stick to it consistently and let the benefits accrue over time.”
How do you incorporate different activities into your lifestyle?
He explained that he doesn’t typically rely on just one type of exercise, but incorporates a variety of activities into his routine. His routine includes martial arts, swimming, and running. He has also recently started yoga.
Rahul Gandhi said, “I usually do a little martial arts, which I enjoy. I do some swimming and running. I’ve also started yoga lately, which is quite interesting.” Through these different activities, he focuses on different aspects of fitness. This means his focus isn’t just on strength building or cardio exercises.
It’s known that Rahul Gandhi is quite active and has frequently posted videos of himself practicing martial arts and scuba diving. He was also seen having fun with hockey players during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. During this video, he mentioned that he used to play hockey during his school days.
How to find time for exercise?
Rahul Gandhi also revealed that he doesn’t leave exercise to his leisure time. He considers it a part of his work and daily routine, setting aside about an hour for it. He said, “As part of my work life, I devote an hour to building strength, improving aerobic capacity, and improving flexibility.” His fitness approach places a high value on regularity. He said that despite his busy schedule, he tries to find time for exercise.
Rahul Gandhi said, “It’s not something I do in my spare time, but I make time for it no matter what.” He also said that the timing of exercise isn’t as important as the actual act itself. If he can’t find time during the day, he’s willing to exercise even late at night. He said, “If I have to work out at 11 p.m., I’ll do it at 11 p.m.”
What did he say about diet and alcohol consumption?
Rahul Gandhi also addressed another important aspect of fitness. According to him, regular exercise alone isn’t enough. Dietary habits and other daily habits also have a direct impact on fitness. He said that if a person consistently eats poorly, drinks too much alcohol, or snacks all the time, fitness cannot be achieved through exercise alone. “If you’re eating poorly, drinking too much alcohol, or snacking all the time,” Rahul Gandhi said, “forget about fitness altogether.”
