‘I want to thank Dharmendra Pradhan’… Why did Abhijeet Deepke’s father say this after resignation?

Tezzbuzz Desk – After the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid the NEET 2026 paper leak controversy, an emotional atmosphere was seen in the family of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke. On this decision, which came after a long-running student movement, Abhijeet’s parents called it a victory for the students’ struggle and said that now they are feeling relieved.

Abhijeet Deepke’s father Bhagwan Shankar Deepke said that the government has finally heard the voice of the students. He said that this decision is the result of the struggle of thousands of students who raised their demands peacefully for a long time. He also thanked Dharmendra Pradhan and said that he showed a big heart by resigning.

Abhijeet’s parents became emotional after the news of Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation came out. The family says that for the first time since June 6, they have got mental relief. Abhijeet’s mother Anita Deepke said that for the last two and a half months the students were continuously agitating for their demands and now their hard work has borne fruit.

He told that Abhijeet had to face many difficulties during the movement. There was criticism many times, but he did not lose patience and stood firm on the issues of the students. Anita said that she feels proud to see her son leading such a big movement at such a young age.

Son wants to work for society, not politics

Lord Shankar Deepke said that his family never had any connection with politics. He told that initially his dream was that Abhijeet should join civil services and pass the UPSC exam, but his son chose his own path.

He said that Abhijeet had clearly told him that he would not go into politics, but wanted to work on the issues of society and youth. Even during the movement, he asked his parents not to come to Delhi so that they would not get into any trouble.

Left engineering and chose journalism

Referring to Abhijeet’s studies, his father told that he had earlier taken admission in engineering, but he was not interested in that field. Later she chose journalism as her career and completed her studies in journalism from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.

After this he decided to pursue higher education in Public Relations. The family gave her the opportunity to study abroad by taking an education loan, where she did post graduation from Boston University’s College of Communication.

Relief after the movement

The family says that during the movement they were constantly worried about their son’s safety. The entire family was under tension due to the presence of police and continuous activities outside the house. Now after the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, he is hopeful that positive solutions will be found on the major issues of the student movement.

Abhijeet Deepke’s parents said that this is not just a victory for their son, but for all the students who raised their voice in a peaceful and democratic manner demanding changes in the education system.
