Bajaj Auto Launch: New Pulsar N160 and N160 SS launched, starting price ₹1.33 lakh
4-valve engine, electronic throttle, and more power
The new Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS feature an all-new 164.5cc single-cylinder, 4-valve SOHC engine with oil-cooling technology and an electronic throttle body. This powerful engine produces 18.5 PS of power at 9,500 rpm and 14.4 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. This new 4-valve setup delivers approximately 2.5 PS more power than the current 2-valve N160. This extra power will provide better pickup in traffic for young people who commute daily on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway and Inner Ring Road.
Along with the engine update, Bajaj has also introduced multiple ride modes integrated with the ride-by-wire system. This will allow riders to adjust throttle response based on road conditions and weather.
Voices from the Ground / Official Statement
“In urban areas like Delhi-NCR, customers in the 160cc bike segment demand both more power and better mileage. The introduction of 4-valve technology and electronic throttle in the N lineup aims to make everyday riding more exciting and smoother.”
