While cleaning the STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) tank in Aldico Society of Sector-150, located in the Knowledge Park police station area of Greater Noida, an employee and the security guard who had entered the tank to save him died. The police have sent both the bodies for post-mortem and started further legal action.

Knowledge Park police station in-charge said that while cleaning the STP tank in Aldico Society, Sector-150, late last night, employee Shashikant Sharma, 40, resident of village Gadmura, police station Gadmura, district Karauli (Rajasthan), became unconscious inside the tank. To save him, security guard Akash, 22, resident of village Itahari, district Firozabad, also got into the tank, but he also became unconscious inside.
How were both of them taken out of the tank?
According to the station in-charge, as soon as the information was received, the team of Knowledge Park police station and fire service reached the spot. Both of them were taken out of the tank and immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead during treatment. Police said that peace is maintained at the incident site. Panchayatnama of the bodies of both the deceased has been filled and sent for post-mortem and advance legal action is being taken in the matter.
