Why was there a change in fuel prices?

In recent times, there has been pressure on fuel costs due to the sharp rise in international crude oil prices and under-recovery of oil marketing companies. According to the Petroleum Ministry, companies have faced under-recovery due to high international crude oil prices.

Under government rules, the revised rates of petrol and diesel are declared every morning at 6 am in the country, so that every citizen of the state can get transparent information about the exact price of fuel in their city.
