CAT 2026: Notification released, registration to start from August 3 and exam to be held on November 29

The official notification of Common Admission Test i.e. CAT 2026 which is the biggest management entrance exam of the country has been released. This year the exam will be conducted by IIM Indore, for which candidates can apply online on 3 August 2026 from 10 AM onwards. The last date to apply will be 15 September 2026 by 5 PM. Exam date and centers detailsThe entire schedule for this prestigious exam to be held soon has been clarified by IIM. The CAT 2026 exam date will be conducted on 29 November 2026 in a total of three shifts at more than 170 exam centers across the country. The admit card for the exam will be available for download on the official website on 4 November 2026. It may be noted that no changes have been made in the syllabus and pattern of the exam, due to which students can continue their preparation as per their old method.
Educational qualification and application fee detailsCandidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50 per cent marks from a recognized university to appear in this examination, while 45 per cent marks are required for SC, ST and PWD category candidates. Apart from this, students studying in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for this exam. As for the application fee, the fee for general category candidates is Rs. 2,700 and for reserved category candidates Rs. 1,350 has been fixed.
