The anticipation has soared with leaked snapshots capturing Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi amidst the bustling charm of Kolkata, stirring memories of Sethupathi’s celebrated 2018 film, 96.

This Sunday, the internet buzzed with a flurry of images showcasing the duo at the iconic Howrah Bridge. The charismatic Sethupathi, sporting a clean-shaven look, effortlessly pulled off a casual black tee paired with jeans and white sneakers. Meanwhile, Pallavi dazzled in a dark, flowing dress, her signature curls cascading freely.
As the lens captured these moments, some shots revealed Mani Ratnam himself, meticulously guiding his stars, while others seemed to freeze time mid-action as the actors delved into what appeared to be a song sequence.
A Star-Studded Collaboration
Earlier this year, the much-speculated collaboration was officially unveiled, igniting excitement among fans eager for Mani Ratnam’s next installment. Adding to the allure, none other than the legendary AR Rahman was announced as the composer, quelling rumors of Sai Abhyankkar’s involvement.
Despite the creative setback of Thug Lifewhich was crafted with a hefty ₹200-300 crore budget but only managed to rake in less than ₹100 crore globally, Mani Ratnam’s loyal fanbase remains hopeful.
On the acting front, Vijay Sethupathi, fresh from his role in Gandhi Talksis juggling a packed lineup with films like Jailer 2, Train, Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road, Arsanand Pocket Novel. As for Sai Pallavi, despite the lukewarm reception of her Hindi debut One Dayshe’s all set for her upcoming projects, including OM Chapter 1 – Udhiram: The Blood Wood and the Ramayana series.
