Made with sesame seeds and milk powder, this barfi is delicious and soft. You can also use khoya or ground cashews and almonds instead of milk powder. So, let’s learn this easy recipe.
Essential Ingredients
- White sesame seeds – 1 cup
- Milk powder – 1 cup
- Sugar or jaggery – 1 cup
- Desi Ghee – 1 tsp
- Cardamom powder – half a teaspoon

Easy way to make
- First of all, fry the sesame seeds on low flame for 2-3 minutes till they turn light golden and after cooling, grind them coarsely in a mixer.
- Do not run the mixer continuously, otherwise oil may come out of the sesame seeds.
- Now add milk powder to it.
- Prepare a light syrup by adding sugar and half a cup of water in a pan.
- Do not make the syrup too thick.
- If using jaggery, melt it only on low flame.
- Add cardamom and sesame mixture to it and mix well.
- Now put the mixture in a ghee-coated plate and spread it evenly with a spoon.
- When it cools down a bit, cut it into desired shapes.
- After cooling completely, soft and delicious sesame barfi is ready.
