BJP’s Ravidas card before UP and Punjab elections, will ‘Mitti’ get coronation?
Lucknow. Before the Uttar Pradesh and Punjab Assembly elections 2027, Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified preparations to increase its political and social reach among the Dalit community. On the occasion of Guru Purnima, Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Naveen and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will reach the birthplace of Saint Ravidas in Varanasi. From here, holy soil in 131 urns will be sent to places associated with Saint Ravidas across the country.
Political analysts believe that this program is not only being considered a part of religious faith but also a part of the strategy to send a strong message to the Dalit society, especially the Ravidasi community. Bharatiya Janata Party is organizing a program of this level for the first time on the occasion of Guru Purnima.
The message of social harmony, saint tradition and respect for Dalit society will be given in the event to be held in the Sant Ravidas Temple complex in Varanasi. During the program, the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership will also address the public meeting.
Soil in 131 urns, campaign will reach the entire country
131 urns will be filled with soil from the birthplace of Saint Ravidas and will be taken to the places where Saint Ravidas lived, lived or had spiritual associations. Bharatiya Janata Party is preparing to take it forward as a national level social contact campaign.

Ravidasi community is effective in these areas of UP
Influence of Ravidas (followers of Ravidasi tradition including Chamar/Jatav subgroups) community in Uttar Pradesh, especially in Varanasi, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Amethi, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Basti, Agra, Aligarh, Considered in Meerut, Saharanpur and many districts of western Uttar Pradesh. Dalit voters are in a position to influence the election results in many assembly seats. This is the reason why all the major parties from time to time

Along with UP, Bharatiya Janata Party also has its eyes on Punjab.
The Ravidasi community is considered to have a significant influence in the Doaba region of Punjab, especially in Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Nawanshahr (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar). Assembly elections are proposed in both the states of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh in 2027. In such a situation, the Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to send a common message to the Dalit community of both the states through this event.

After becoming the national president of Bharatiya Janata Party, the assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab are being considered as the first major political test for Nitin Naveen.
