Online leak of the film ‘The Odyssey’
Los Angeles, July 27: Hollywood’s leading studio Universal Pictures has reacted strongly to the online leak of director Christopher Nolan’s film ‘The Odyssey’. The studio has stated that they will take all necessary legal steps to protect their content and intellectual property rights. This film was released on 17 July. According to the entertainment news website, the leaked version of the film was shared on social media platform X on Saturday, garnering over 50,000 views.
After this it was removed. Universal Pictures said in a statement that they immediately began the process of removing the film after being informed that it was being shared unauthorized. The studio takes copyright infringement seriously and assures to take all appropriate legal measures to protect its content and intellectual property rights.
The film ‘The Odyssey’ is based on the 10-year long journey of Greek King Odysseus (Matt Damon) to return home after the famous Troy War. All the while battling vengeful gods, sea monsters, and elusive women as he attempts to reunite with his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and son Telemachus (Tom Holland). The film is produced by Syncopy Inc. and distributed by Universal Pictures.
It also stars Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo and Travis Scott.
