‘To serve the public…’, Dhanush will fulfill Rajinikanth’s unfulfilled dream! Actor hints at taking entry in politics
Tamil superstar Dhanush’s massive welfare programs being organized by his fan clubs in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district ahead of his birthday have given rise to fresh speculations about his political ambitions. From blood donation camps to providing assistance to the needy, these activities are now being seen as a major public relations campaign rather than just a fan club social initiative.
Will Dhanush take a different path from Rajinikanth?
Dhanush’s increasing social activism is now also being compared to the political plans of superstar Rajinikanth. Ahead of the 2021 assembly elections, Rajinikanth had announced his plans to enter politics. He also talked about bringing ‘spiritual politics’ in Tamil Nadu. However, later citing health reasons, he withdrew the decision to start his political innings. In such a situation, the question is arising whether Dhanush can play the political role in future which Rajinikanth could not fulfill?
Is there still a place for ‘spiritual politics’ in Tamil Nadu?
Dhanush’s recent speech has also fueled these discussions. The actor, who is a devotee of Lord Shiva, ended his address with ‘Om Namah Shivay’. On the other hand, blood donation camps and public welfare related programs are being organized by his fan clubs.
These activities have gained more attention following the recent release of an official flag by the fan club. However, Dhanush has not yet made any official announcement regarding his entry into politics.
‘Be committed to serving the public’
Dhanush appealed to his supporters to further strengthen social services. He said that our strength should be united and used for the help of people and welfare of the society. He also urged fans to understand the problems of their neighbors and help the needy. On the question asked about Dhanush’s political entry, DMK also said that everyone coming into politics to become a part of the democratic system is welcome.
