AMC+ has officially unveiled the first teaser trailer for Yagaoffering an early preview of the upcoming mystery thriller before its October premiere. The network unveiled the eight-episode drama inspired by Baba Yaga folklore at San Diego Comic-Con. The newly released footage offers the first look at the series’ unsettling world, building anticipation ahead of its premiere.

AMC+ unveiled the first teaser trailer for Yaga. The video debuted at San Diego Comic-Con during a panel featuring stars Noah Reid and Clark Backo, alongside creator Kat Sandler. Alongside the teaser, AMC+ released the first official artwork for the eight-episode drama.
Adapted from Kat Sandler’s acclaimed stage play, Yaga reimagines the legend of Baba Yaga as a contemporary mystery thriller. The investigation centers on the disappearance of Henry Park, the young heir to a powerful fishing business. This prompts private investigator Rapp to travel to a small coastal town in search of answers.
As Rapp investigates the missing person case, he clashes with an uncooperative local detective, Carson, and crosses paths with Katherine, a university professor. The inquiry broadens as he uncovers a growing list of suspects, hidden personal lives, and clues pointing to ancient magic.
The series stars Reid as Rapp, Hudson Williams as Henry Park, Backo as Carson, and Carrie-Anne Moss as Katherine. The supporting cast includes Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle, Hiro Kanagawa, Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, Anisa Harris, and Sam Krochmal.
Yaga is created, written, and executive-produced by Sandler. David Frazee and Rachel Talalay direct the series. Meanwhile, Mackenzie Donaldson, Andrew Miller, and Carrie-Anne Moss also serve as executive producers. Produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures for Bell Media, the eight-episode series debuts on AMC+ in the U.S. in October 2026.
