During the film’s team promotion at San Diego Comic-Con, Ranbir was asked what was his first thought when he got the offer to play the role of Ram. He said honestly, ‘The first question that came to my mind was, am I the right person for this role? Why did I get this opportunity?’

Initially he doubted himself, but later he realized that it was an important task. He said, ‘I am not just playing the character of Ram, but am trying to convey his journey and ideals to the audience.’

Answering the questions raised on trolling and casting, Ranbir said that every person who reads, listens or watches Ramayana has his own different image of Lord Ram in his mind. Therefore, some people will like their look, while some will not. This is completely natural.
He also said that no good actor can play the role of Ram. For this, it is necessary that his intentions are clear and he has full faith in the story of Ram and his values. He stressed that inner purity is more important than outer looks.

The film’s producer Yash has also praised Ranbir. He said that Ranbir is the perfect choice for this role and after seeing his hard work, he has full confidence. ‘Ramayana’ will be released in two parts, the first part will hit the theaters on Diwali 2026 and the second part will hit the theaters on Diwali 2027. The budget of the film is huge and great VFX and grand sets will be used in it.
