Meta apologized for removing PM Modi’s video, said – mistake was due to technical glitch, government had summoned

New Delhi. The matter of removal of a Facebook video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for some time has now taken a serious form. Meta has apologized to the government on this incident and admitted that the video was removed by mistake not due to any policy violation, but due to a technical glitch. The company also clarified that as soon as the glitch was detected, the video was restored to the platform.

Government adopted a tough stance, officers may be summoned

According to sources, the central government is not taking this entire matter lightly. The concerned departments are trying to find out the reason why the Prime Minister’s official video was removed and how correct is the explanation given by Meta about the technical glitch. It is being told that in this matter, representatives of Meta and concerned officials can be called for clarification.

A Meta spokesperson issued a statement saying that the content in question was removed by mistake and has now been fully restored. The company has also expressed regret for this incident. According to the information, this video had stopped appearing in India for some time on Meta-owned social media platform Facebook. Later, after the ban was lifted, it again became available to all users.

This video was uploaded on July 23. In this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his message while addressing Gen-ji for the first time during the student demonstration organized by Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). In his address, he had talked about taking new and strict steps soon to take strict action on the NEET paper leak issue.
