India Slams Pakistan: This sham election exercise is actually… India scolds Pakistan for elections and violence in PoK

New Delhi. India has slammed Pakistan over the elections and violence in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, while answering the questions of journalists at the press briefing, said that we have seen news about the so-called assembly elections in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. As you know, India’s stand on this matter is clear. The entire state of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, including the areas which are currently under illegal and forcible occupation of Pakistan, are an integral and inalienable part of India. This sham election exercise is actually an attempt by Pakistan to hide its illegal occupation and cover up serious human rights violations in that area.

MEA spokesperson said, as we have said earlier also, the large-scale protests that are taking place in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, about which you are aware and you may have seen the latest pictures from there, are a direct result of Pakistan’s economic exploitation, violation of people’s basic rights and administrative repression. On the recent statement given by Pakistan on the Indus Water Agreement, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said, the country which has been promoting cross-border terrorism, religious fundamentalism and violence for decades, cannot make any claim on the diverse cultural heritage. Pakistan has a very poor record in terms of security of minorities and protecting their cultural rights.

On reports of Pakistan’s Gen-Z supporting the recent protests in India, Randhir Jaiswal said, we all know that Pakistan has been promoting cross-border terrorism against India for many decades. The people of India, including Gen-Z, are demanding that Pakistan end state-sponsored cross-border terrorism. We hope that the youth of Pakistan will also be paying attention to this.
