Land scam exposed after death of mafia Atiq Ahmed
Prayagraj Police Commissioner Jogendra Kumar dealt a big financial blow to mafia and company Atiq Ahmed while leaving Prayagraj. The police seized land worth ₹11,000,000 of mafia Atiq Ahmed under the Gangster Act. This property was the benami property of Atiq and his wife. The police have put up seizure boards on the confiscated lands of mafia Atiq Ahmed. According to the police, this land of Atiq Ahmed is registered in a total of 30 different plots and was purchased in the name of laborers.
Mafia Atiq Ahmed, with the help of his gang, had taken over about 30 plots of land in Bhiti, Gauspur Kataula, Peepal village and Mauja Mandiri. The significant thing is that Atiq Ahmed had bought these lands in the name of a laborer named Madan, so that when he wanted to sell it, he could get it registered through Madan. In this way, the name of Atiq gang never came to the notice of the law. The Police Commissioner formed a team to find the illegal properties of Atiq gang and then started the seizure process.
Madan, the labourer in whose name Atiq had bought land worth crores, has a below poverty line ration card, and for many years no transaction of more than two thousand rupees had taken place in his personal bank account. The Cantonment police also interrogated Madan intensively, in which land worth billions was revealed.
