In the name of protein, people are eating a lot of cheese. If you want to make some special vegetable, then the name of Paneer is at the top. People consider cottage cheese rich in properties like high protein and calcium as healthy. Be it paneer sold at hotels and dhabas or homemade paneer curry, most people eat it considering it to be made from milk. But these days adulterated cheese is being sold indiscriminately in the market. Fake cheese is not made from milk but from some harmful things which are causing huge harm to health instead of benefit.
Traditional cheese is made from milk and contains natural proteins, calcium and other essential dairy elements. Whereas analog cheese is usually prepared using vegetable fats, starches, emulsifiers and food additives instead of milk.
In India, cheese has always been considered the best source of high protein. But nowadays many people are not eating cheese but fake cheese. It is difficult for common people to know whether the cheese available in restaurants and hotels is real or fake. This cheese is cheaper than the cheese prepared from milk. The biggest problem is that it tastes just like normal cheese. Therefore, even while eating, people do not know what they are eating. Food regulators are putting pressure on such cheese for clean labeling. So that this type of cheese can be identified.
Disadvantages of fake cheese
The doctor told that there can be a lot of difference related to nutrition between real and fake cheese. Cottage cheese made in the traditional way gives you all the protein, calcium and natural nutrients of dairy. The amount of protein in fake cheese is very low. It may contain refined starch and low quality vegetable fat. This can increase the calorie intake, while it has little to no nutrition. The doctor cited research published in a magazine called Food Control, in which adulteration in cheese was mentioned. This type of cheese poses a risk of microbial and chemical contamination. This cheese is very harmful especially for children.
