In the temple premises located in Sukhaipur village of Mahrua police station area, unknown thieves cut an iron donation box and stole the donation money kept in it. There is huge anger among the villagers and people associated with the temple due to this incident of theft at a religious place. After the incident, Shiv Kali Jagran Samiti has given a written complaint in Mahrua police station demanding registration of a case against unknown accused and immediate disclosure of the incident.
According to the information, an iron donation box was installed by Shiv Kali Jagran Samiti in the temple premises located in Sukhaipur for the convenience of the devotees and for religious activities. It has been told that on the night of August 9, 2026, unknown thieves reached the temple premises, cut the donation box and ran away with the donation money kept in it. The manner in which the thieves cut the donation box raises suspicion that the incident was carried out in a well-planned manner.
Information about the incident that happened in the morning
The villagers came to know about the theft incident in the temple premises at around 7 am on August 10. Seeing the donation box in a damaged condition, there was panic among the people. This information was immediately given on police assistance number 112. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and inspected the spot.
The police have started investigation by taking possession of the recordings of CCTV cameras installed around the temple premises. In case the activities of suspicious people are revealed in CCTV footage, the police can get significant help in identifying the accused.
Coins found around the temple, hope for important clues in investigation
After the incident, information has come to light that some coins have also been recovered near a house near the temple premises. The committee and villagers believe that these coins may be related to the stolen donation money. However, the actual connection of these coins with the incident will become clear only after investigation.
Examination of CCTV footage along with coins and other circumstantial evidence found at the spot is being considered important to unravel the incident. The villagers demand that the police should scrutinize the recordings of all the available CCTV cameras in the vicinity, so that the routes of movement of the suspects and their activities can be ascertained.
Fear of involvement of two to three people
Looking at the manner of the incident and the available circumstances, prima facie two to three people are suspected to be involved in the theft. However, the number of accused and their identity can be officially confirmed only after police investigation.
Villagers say that the incident of theft by cutting the donation box in the temple premises has raised questions on the security arrangements. Villagers are saying that there have been incidents of small and big thefts in the area before. In such a situation, after the theft in a religious place, people have increased concern about the safety of their homes and public places.

Villagers say that the temple complex is linked to the religious faith of the people. People's sentiments have been hurt due to theft of donations by cutting donation boxes at such places. People have demanded from the police to take the matter seriously and immediately identify the accused and take legal action against them.
Shiv Kali Jagran Samiti, in its complaint lodged at Mahrua police station, has demanded registration of FIR against unknown accused, investigation of CCTV footage, inclusion of coins and other evidence found at the spot in the investigation and action against the culprits as per rules.
The committee has also demanded to increase security arrangements in the temple premises and surrounding areas, so that such incidents do not recur in future.
Villagers' eyes fixed on police investigation
At present, CCTV footage and other evidence are being investigated by the police after the incident. The villagers hope that on the basis of CCTV recording and clues obtained from the spot, the police will soon reach the accused and reveal the theft incident. A copy of the complaint letter has been sent to Police Station Officer Mahrua and the original copy has also been sent through speed post.
