In 1975, during his college days, Paresh Rawal saw Swaroop Sampat in a pink saree for the first time. As soon as he saw her, he said to his friend, this girl will one day become my wife. When the friend told that she was the daughter of Indian National Theater producer Bachchan Sampat. Even then Paresh Rawal's answer was the same. I will marry this one. The interesting thing is that on the other hand, Swaroop was also very impressed by Paresh Rawal's acting. After watching an inter-college play, she herself came to meet him back stage and praised him. It was from here that their friendship started which gradually turned into love.

After some time, when Swaroop Sampat's father asked her to participate in the Miss India contest, she was not ready. He shared his hesitation with Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal encouraged him completely and said that he would himself drop him to the competition venue and would sit outside and wait for him. And she won the Miss India crown in 1979.
When is the wedding?
After dating each other for about 12 years, both of them finally got married in 1987. But their marriage was completely different. Neither any grand pavilion, nor any noise nor big rituals. In the shade of an old tree, in the presence of family and some close people, both of them accepted each other as life partners. Today this couple has two sons, Anirudh and Aditya.
