Ampere Magnus G Max: Scooter will run up to 142KM for ₹30! Launched with 33 liter boot and car like features

Ampere has updated its popular Magnus G Max scooter. Now it has better features, especially the number of connectivity options has been increased. Magnus G Max has been upgraded to the NxG.io software platform. According to the company, more than 30 new features have been added in this update. It also has a 5-inch display and features like cruise control, hill hold and turn-by-turn navigation. Let's take a look at the features of the scooter.

What makes this scooter special?

The most significant change is the addition of cruise control and hill hold assist. These features prevent the scooter from rolling backwards on slopes – a very useful feature that helps the rider while climbing slopes. The scooter has a 5-inch display that supports turn-by-turn navigation.

There is also a “Find/Ping Scooter” option, which can be operated from the company's mobile app, making it easy to locate the scooter in the parking lot. Apart from this, the scooter also has features like real-time charging status, live tracking, geo-fencing and alerts for theft and towing.

The scooter features remote diagnostics, service booking, charging history, battery health information and OTA (over-the-air) updates. All connected features can be accessed through the Ampere Connect app. However, no changes have been made in the mechanical parts of the scooter.

Battery, range and price
The Magnus G Max is powered by a 3kWh LFP battery and a 2.4kW Peak hub-mounted motor. It gives a range of 142 km and a top speed of 65 km/h according to IDC. It comes with a warranty of 5 years or 75,000 kilometers. This scooter will be available in dual-color option. Its starting price is ₹ 1,02,999.

The IoT variant is priced at ₹1,09,999 (ex-showroom). Charging a 3kWh battery will require approximately 3 to 3.5 units of electricity. If the price of electricity in your area is ₹8 per unit, then charging it will cost around ₹30. This means you can cover a distance of 142 km (claimed) at a cost of ₹30.
